Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Travel Design Edit collects when you use traveldesignedit.com, why we collect it and what your rights are. We collect as little as possible and never sell your data.
Who is responsible
Travel Design Edit is an editorial project by Patrícia Galvão, based in Lisbon, Portugal. For any question about your data, write to hello@traveldesignedit.com.
What we collect and why
- Contact form — your name, email address and message, so we can reply to you. Legal basis: your request (legitimate interest / pre-contractual steps).
- Guides waitlist — your name and email address, so we can tell you when the guides launch. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Newsletter — subscriptions to the Carte Postale newsletter are handled by Substack, which processes your email address under its own privacy policy. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link.
- Basic statistics — anonymous, aggregated visit statistics provided by WordPress.com, to understand which pages are read.
Who processes your data
The site is hosted by WordPress.com (Automattic Inc.), which stores form submissions and may set essential cookies. The newsletter runs on Substack. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is sent to Google when the page loads. Some of these providers are based outside the European Union; transfers rely on the safeguards described in their own policies, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to answer and follow up, and deleted after two years at the latest. Waitlist emails are kept until the guides launch or until you ask to be removed.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, to receive a copy of it, and to withdraw consent at any time. Just email hello@traveldesignedit.com. You also have the right to complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date.
