Why Travel Design Edit

A different way to look at a place

Travel Design Edit is a creative thinking newsletter that uses travel as its primary material. Rather than lists of where to go, it looks at how places are made — their buildings and interiors, their tables and shop windows, their typography and rituals — and what they reveal about design, culture and the way we live.

It is for designers, hoteliers, creatives and curious travellers who like to notice things.

The eye behind the edit

Patrícia Galvão

Lisbon-based brand strategist and founder of T.U.B. – The Unusual Brand, a consultancy specialising in luxury hospitality. For fifteen years I’ve helped hotels and hospitality brands find their voice — which mostly means paying attention to details other people walk past.

Travel Design Edit is my personal notebook made public: a place to slow down, look closer and share what I find.
